Full Garden Mrs John B. Semple

(112) Mrs. John B. Semple of Sewickley, also of Coconut Grove, has built a garden around her town house. A simple pool with perennial borders beyond the edges of the lawn, lead through to what was once an old tennis court. The background of poplar trees has been carefully trimmed to make a splendid deep green hedge. (113) One walks through the arched gate-way into what was once the old tennis court, and we find ourselves in a woodland garden thickly plated, and the objective, two tiny lead deer, beyond the plantings of yew, box and a few perennials.
