(56) A dipping fountain is made from an old Italian sarcophagus of white marble. Since these pictures were taken, the tops of the wall are entirely covered with English ivy, and the poplar trees in the background have been pruned and shaped into a thick mass. Ralph Griswold was the landscape architect.
